Shopping – Asking Questions in a Shop
When a shop assistant asks “Can I help you?” be prepared to ask a question or to ask for help. There are some useful phrases on what to say in a shop here.
“I’d like to try this on” means that you’d like to put it on in front of a mirror to see if it fits you.
If a shop assistant asks “Any good?” after you try on something, you’ll need to say whether you want to buy it or not.
If you want a different size, ask “Do you have this in…” (and give the size you want.)
